Many people believe in angels and evil spirits, and popular culture abounds in talk about encounters with such entities. Yet the question of the existence of such spirits is ignored in the academy. Even the Christian Church, which one might expect to show keen interest in transcendent realities, does not appear to be paying much attention. In this book Phillip Wiebe defends the plausibility of the traditional Christian claim that spirits are real. Wiebe examines descriptions of encounters with both good and evil transcendent beings in biblical times and in later Christian history, along with recent accounts of similar experiences. He argues that invisible beings can be postulated to explain events just as unobservable objects are postulated in many scientific theories. Beyond supporting claims for the existence of lesser spirits such as demons and angels, this empirical approach yields important results for assessing common arguments surrounding the existence of God - a question that has become artificially separated from the question of spirits as such. Grounding his argument in a wide range of phenomena - from near death experiences to demonic possession - Wiebe offers a sophisticated case for belief in God on philosophical and epistemological grounds.

An 'anti-materialistic, 21st Century Spiritual Psychology' which submits that The Mind and The Spirit are Real and Exist in their own right - they are not just 'froth made out of chemicals'! This book provides instead a complete analysis of both the component qualities, and the structure, of Spiritual Energy. The New Testament contains these diverse statements: 1) God is Spirit. 2) God is Love. 3) Love is a 'Fruit of the Holy Spirit', amongst many others. 4) The Spirit of God (the Holy Spirit) is Seven Spirits or a Sevenfold Spirit. Simon Lee has spent the last twenty years pondering these issues and the following resulting questions, which this book tries to answer in full: - 1) Love then is a Spirit, and according to Shakespeare a 'many-splendoured thing'. Can we attempt to summarise Love, so rich in artistic descriptions by thousands of poets, singers, writers and playwrights, and other Spirits, in simple terms? 2) What are the other Six Spirits? Can we decide what they are? 3) The Bible often describes The Spirit as resembling a Tree or Fountain. How do the Seven Spirits co-exist in this apparently perfectly scientific description of their structure? especially physics, claims to be close to a scientific Theory of Everything. There are certain holes in this theory. Science ignores the spiritual and artistic in life. Do the latter in fact need to be called upon to 'fill the scientific holes'? 5) If this is in fact the case, to be convincing to both 'religious and scientific camps', the 'NUMBERS of things' involved must precisely match, i.e. the quantities of 'spiritual essences used to fill holes in science' must be precisely correct. Are they? 6) Do other Holy Books in other Faiths back up these notions about a Set of Holy Spirits going together to make up the Spirit of God? 7) Clearly the Spirit of God has enemies trying to supplant or replace spiritual with secular 'things'. Is the rising main enemy of the Holy Spirit today, Information Technology? Twenty years of thinking and research goes into Simon Lee's claim that this book provides a resounding, convincingly argued answer of 'YES!' to all seven of these questions. It is therefore an 'analysis of Spirit' i.e. of God as a Spirit Being

God has a plan for every one of his children. But there are powers working against this plan that attempt to subvert the destiny of believers. Just as Adam and Eve were seduced into sin by the serpent, Christians today still experience these destructive powers that threaten to steal their divine destiny. In Destiny Thieves, prophetically gifted Sandie Freed shares the story of her own struggle, as well as many biblical accounts of the struggles of God's people, with the demonically inspired obstacles that stand in the way of breakthrough. This liberating book shows readers the tactics Satan uses against believers, identifies particular seducing spirits, and charges believers with a new level of faith to go forward and claim the victorious life God has planned for them.
