God’s Word Leads Us to God’s Heart Hebrew Word Study: Revealing the Heart of God is a devotional book unlike any you’ve ever read. Most Hebrew word study books read like a dictionary, not really explaining the Hebrew words in light of specific Bible passages. Hebrew Word Study by Chaim Bentorah combines an in-depth look at the meanings of a variety of scriptural words and phrases in the original Hebrew with a down-to-earth application for our daily Christian experience. Guided by Chaim’s expertise in biblical languages, you will examine not just word definitions, but also the origins of words, their place in the culture and idioms of the day, and even their emotional context. With the author’s anecdotes and stories from the Bible and ancient Jewish literature, the meanings of these words and passages become even more vivid. Each of the ninety word studies in this book will encourage and strengthen you in your relationship with God. As you search the depths of God’s Word, you will see just how beautiful the Scriptures are, and most of all, you will see the beauty of God Himself and come to love Him all the more.

Use as an inspiring daily devotional that will draw you closer to the Lord, a deeper word study into biblical Hebrew—or both! In silence my heart saw what my eyes could not see, my heart heard what my ears could not hear and my heart spoke what my lips could not speak. In silence I was able to enter a special room in Gods heart, a quiet room, a weeping room. In this room I found Jesus holding a heart in His hands, the heart of a young woman, a heart which had been broken. He was weeping over that broken heart. He was feeling the hearts hurt and loneliness. He wept over that wounded heart longing so much to heal the wound that tore it apart, but this young woman would not seek his comfort. I saw Him pick up another heart, a heart of wounded veteran. That heart was cold and barren and I watched his tear drops just roll off that hardened heart. I could sense He was wishing that each tear would somehow penetrate that heart, but this brave warrior would not open it to Him to allow the tears of His Savior to enter and soften his heart. As He picked up another broken heart I reached out to Him and touched His nail pierced hand and instantly I felt His sorrow and pain, the anguish felt by each heart and I too wept. All four of us wept. It was in this quiet, weeping room that I saw my own hearts desire. It was to not have a flourishing ministry, books published, or to even experience a healing of my body, it was only to seek and search for these hearts and let them know that there is a Savior weeping for them, longing to enter their wounded heart to allow His tears , His nailed pierced hands heal those wounds.

Treasures of the Deep is not an academic book intended for the classroom. It is meant for a bed stand, living room or wherever you go for some quiet time with God's Word. These 365 daily devotionals are designed to provide short inspirational thoughts you can meditate on during the day or before going to sleep at night. Treasures of the Deep is different from most devotional books that give a little story or inspirational thought and concludes with a Scripture verse. This book begins with scripture and provides inspiration through an analysis of the original biblical Hebrew or Aramaic. Each devotional is a short word study designed to cause the reader to ponder and meditate on deeper meanings of Scripture passages that they may never have considered. It is my hope and prayer that every reader might realize that Scripture has a depth that they never dreamed possible, and that every passage may carry a message from God to each reader personally, and might encourage them to learn a bit of biblical Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic to enhance their personal Bible study.

Many Christians long to study the Word of God in the original Hebrew. They will take Hebrew classes at a college, a synagogue, or online and often become discouraged because these classes either teach them to speak Hebrew or spend considerable time teaching complex rules of grammar when all these Christians want to do is find God's heart and message in His Word. As a result, these Christians usually give up and just go to the back of their Strong's Concordance, a lexicon, or a Bible dictionary to look up a word. This book is written for the Christian who does not want to learn to speak Hebrew or spend long hours trying to understand complex rules of grammar. All they want is to know if there is a deeper meaning to certain Hebrew words. Even after looking up a word in their lexicon, they are still left with a nagging feeling that there must be more. In most cases there is more, and this book will give some guidelines in how to drill down into the very heart, soul, and core of a Hebrew word; it will take you to a world beyond your lexicon, and you do not need a PhD to do it. The only thing you will need is to love the Word of God, and if you love it enough, it will reveal its secrets. Hebrew is a language of the heart, and if you love God enough, He will reveal His heart to you through the ancient Hebrew language.

Hebrew for Biblical Interpretation introduces elementary Hebrew with a focus on the skills needed for informed biblical exegesis. This innovative textbook, which combines the features of a traditional grammar with the insights of language education from applied linguistics, offers clear and concise discussions of grammatical concepts as well as guided exercises in reading and interpreting the Hebrew Bible. All words occurring more than 100 times in the Hebrew Bible are taught in descending order of frequency, and attention to grammatical clues reduces the need for rote memorization of paradigms. The integration of grammar and exegesis motivates students and makes this textbook well suited to seminary and undergraduate courses in which scholarly biblical exegesis is the primary goal of language acquisition.
